Paul McGillion was born in Paisley, Scotland but emmigrated with his family to Canada at the age of 2. He's worked extensively in Film, TV and Theatre for over 15 years and is best known for his role of 'Dr.Carson Beckett', the loveable Scottish physcian in SCIFI's hit show, ' Stargate: Atlantis'. Paul was nominated in the 2004 'Lead Male' Leo Award catagory, for "...his heart wrenching performance.." as 'Dominic McKinley' in 'See Grace Fly'. Recently the actor has starred in made for television movie 'Just Breathe' and co-starred in the independent feature ' A Dog's Breakfast', working alongside Atlantis co-star David Hewlett.
